Trimodal and international opening up

The G2i business park is located in the Canal zone in Ghent, an inland port, accesible over the western Scheldt and the canal Ghent-Terneuzen.

The traffic free R4 highway provides a faster connection between your company and the international road network towards Antwerp (E34), Brussels (E40) and beyond to the Netherlands and France (E17).Over the next fex years the R4-West is slated for conversion into a full-fledged highway without ground-level intersections.

The shunting-yard Ghent-Seahaven is directly linked to serveral sections of the main railroad network to Zeebrugge, Antwerp-Ruhr Area, Aalst-Ath-Paris and Courtrai-Lille-Chunnel.

The sea canal Ghent-Terneuzen has a total length of 31 km, a width of 150 to 350 m, a depth of 13,50 m and a trapezial transverse section. The canal (fresh water) has no tidal movements or current. Via the western Scheldt the connection is made to the Rhine basin and Eastern Europe.

The zouthern part of the port connects with the ring canal, towards Courtrai, Hainaut and the north of France.
